  1. In recent news, the FDA has announced a plan to phase out the use of antibiotics considered "medically important to humans" in livestock feed.

    The news on the street is that this is all lip service. By simply relabeling the 30 million pounds of antibiotics currently in use for livestock as "preventive" rather than "growth", the system can stay exactly as it is.
